Tanvir Kaur Sohi

Tanvir Kaur Sohi moved from India to Melbourne to study Psychology at Deakin University, arriving on a Vice-Chancellor's 100% Scholarship — one of the university's most competitive academic awards. She threw herself into campus life from day one, taking on roles across student services, health mentoring, and library support while maintaining the academic standing that earned her scholarship. Outside university, she sits on the headspace Youth Advisory Group, coaches swimming, and tutors students at a local library. Tanvir co-founded Hoddle Melbourne because she knows the weight of that first year — the self-doubt, the adjusting, the quietly figuring it all out — and believes no student should have to do it without a guide.
